Digital Freebie Sewing Tag
Hi there my altered art junkies, this Monday I'm starting with freebie journal cards. They match a kit I created. I created the collage and then heavily distressed it, then added in the florals in blue and pink. I used graphics from The Old Design Shop and my own collection of papers.
What is Gel Medium?
Gel Medium comes in a variety of forms and consistencies. It is an acrylic and is available in soft, regular, and heavy and each of those are available in matte or gloss. Gel Medium is a staple in most craft toolboxes.
Do we need all the different kinds?
Gel Medium has the ability to extend the color similar to water, but Gel Medium has the ability to
Soft Gel Medium is used to create velvety textures by artist. Crafters can use it as an adhesive or top coat similar to Decoupage Glue Sealer, but Gel Medium can extend the time you have to work with materials. Soft Gel Medium is also used as a photo transfer medium and as an adhesive.
Regular Gel Medium extends paint time and adds a luminosity when added to acrylic paint.
Heavy Gel Medium adds texture and body to paint.
The matte or gloss is dependent on if you want your project to be shiny or have a dull matte look. Gloss Gel Medium is used mostly for decoupage projects.
